Commercial Auto Insurance, and Workers’ Compensation Insurance.
Many other companies in the area do not carry workers’ compensation insurance, meaning if one of
their employees is injured on your property, you could be held liable.
With us, you are protected. We invest in the proper coverage to safeguard both our clients and our
employees — because we care enough to provide maximum protection for everyone involved.

Scheduling & Service
– Services are scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis unless otherwise agreed.
– Weather delays may shift service days; customers will be notified as soon as possible.
– Customers must ensure yards are free of obstacles (toys, hoses, vehicles, debris) before service.
– Customers who elect to use a “call when needed” service option rather than setting a regular schedule
should be aware that pricing is based on the condition of the lawn at the time of service.
– If lawn growth is excessive due to extended gaps between services, the cost of service may be higher
than the standard rate to account for the additional time and labor required.
– Regular scheduling helps ensure the best results, consistent appearance, and the most competitive pricing.

Payments & Billing
– Payment is due immediately upon completion of service, unless other arrangements have been
negotiated and agreed to in advance.
– In certain cases, Pay on Statement may be offered. Prepay is always welcomed and encouraged.
– Accepted payment methods: cash, check, debit card, and credit card (in person, online, or over the
phone).
– All credit and debit card transactions are subject to a 4% processing fee. This is a pass-through fee
charged by the payment processor — The Lawn Mafia does not profit from it.
– Accounts that are 6 days past due will have services suspended until payment is received in full.
– A $25 late fee may be applied to past-due accounts.
– Returned checks are subject to a $35 fee plus any applicable bank charges.

Customer Responsibilities
– Customers are responsible for securing pets and ensuring gates are unlocked on service days.
– If The Lawn Mafia is unable to access the property due to locked gates, pets, or other hazards, the
visit will be billed as a full service.
– Requests for service changes must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Property Damage
– The Lawn Mafia takes care to avoid damage. However, liability is limited to damage directly caused by
our equipment or employees.
– We are not responsible for damage to hidden items such as sprinkler heads, hoses, cables, solar
lights, toys, or similar objects left in the lawn — or for damage caused by these items.
– Customers are responsible for removing or clearly marking items prior to service.

Estimates & Extras
– Prior to beginning services, The Lawn Mafia provides a written estimate to ensure transparency and
accountability.
– We stand by the estimates we provide, demonstrating our commitment to trust and reliability.
– To keep pricing competitive, no additional services are included in your standard estimate.
– Services such as brush removal, grass clipping removal, leaf raking, and storm debris clean-up are
not part of our standard lawn care package. These are treated as separate services and require their
own estimates.
– Any additional work requested outside the original estimate must be approved in writing by the
customer before it is performed.

Cut Height
– The Lawn Mafia maintains a minimum cutting height of three inches from ground level.
– Requests to lower the cutting height will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, with consideration for
lawn health, safety, and service quality.
– If a client requests mowing below three inches, they agree to hold Handi Inc. d/b/a The Lawn Mafia, its
owners, employees, and contractors harmless for any damage, issues, or consequences resulting from
mowing at that height.
Reasons for this policy include:
1. Appearance & Quality – Cutting grass below three inches causes scalping on uneven ground,
resulting in an unprofessional appearance.
2. Grass Health – Cutting too low exposes roots to the sun, leading to dead patches and weakened turf.
3. Safety Hazards – Commercial mowers generate a vortex capable of turning objects (rocks, sticks,
pinecones, debris) into dangerous projectiles at high speed.
4. Weed Control – Research shows grass maintained at three inches or higher helps suppress weed
growth, while mowing shorter promotes it.
8. Dogs & Pets
– All dogs present on the premises must be properly restrained to prevent contact with our staff while
services are being performed.
– Lawn equipment produces loud noises that can cause even the most well-behaved pets to react
unpredictably.
– For the safety of both our staff and your pets, dogs must be secured indoors or in a fenced area away
from the service zone during scheduled visits.
– The Lawn Mafia reserves the right to refuse or reschedule service if pets are not properly restrained,
and the visit may still be billed as a full service.

Satisfaction Guarantee
– At The Lawn Mafia, our goal is to create your vision of what your lawn should look like, achieving
maximum satisfaction.
– We require your help to reach that goal! If you see something you feel needs to be done differently,
was not completed correctly, or was missed, please let us know as soon as possible.
– If you are not fully satisfied with the quality of our service, you must notify us within 24 hours of
completion.
– We will schedule a return visit at no additional cost to correct the issue.
– If the concern is not reported within 24 hours, services will be considered completed to satisfaction
and billed in full.
– Refunds are not provided, but corrective services will be offered to ensure expectations are met.

Referrals
– The Lawn Mafia greatly appreciates customer referrals.
– We believe referrals should be earned through the quality of our work, not by offering incentives,
discounts, or rewards.
– Our goal is to provide such reliable and professional service that you feel confident recommending us
to others.

Sales Tax
– The Lawn Mafia is required by Texas law to collect sales tax on applicable lawn care and landscaping
services.
– Some clients may be surprised by this charge, but please understand it is a legal requirement, not an
additional fee imposed by us.
– We maintain a thorough understanding of the relevant tax laws to ensure compliance and
transparency.

Scheduling & Access
– All appointments must be scheduled in advance. Customers will be notified of upcoming visits by text
message, email, or phone call.
– It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that access is available at the scheduled time. For
example, if you live in a gated community that requires approval for entry, you must make
arrangements in advance.
– If our crew is unable to access your property due to locked gates, restricted entry, or lack of
authorization, a trip charge will be applied.
– This fee is calculated based on travel distance and lost time, and is typically 50% of the regular
service cost for your lawn.

Failed, Refused, or Disputed Payments
– If a payment is declined, returned, or otherwise unsuccessful, the customer will be notified
immediately and must provide an alternate form of payment within 48 hours.
– A $35 fee will be applied to all returned checks, in addition to any bank charges incurred.
– A $100 fee will be applied to all credit or debit card chargebacks, regardless of outcome.
– Accounts with refused, disputed, or uncollected payments will be subject to service suspension until
the balance is resolved in full.
– Customers with a history of failed, refused, disputed, or late payments may be required to move to a
prepay-only basis for all future services.
– If payment is not received within 10 calendar days after notice of failure, refusal, or dispute, The Lawn
Mafia reserves the right to pursue civil collection actions and/or criminal theft of service charges under
Texas law.
– All costs associated with collection efforts (legal fees, court costs, service fees) may be added to the
outstanding balance.
